The Horizons School

Preparing young adults with learning disabilities for an independent life.

The Horizons School offers a non-degree post secondary program designed to facilitate independence for students with learning disabilities.

The two-year core program* teaches personal, social and career skills and offers community-based extracurricular activities. Following the two-year program, The Horizons School offers a Community Transition program where students have the opportunity to live in the Birmingham area and work while retaining program support.

After completion of both programs, students have the option to participate in various contractual programs through the school.
